About the Artist

Erika Roberts is a Tennessee-based mixed media artist. While art has always been a part of her life, her first career was as a Tennessee attorney.  Erika practiced law on and off for nearly a decade. During the course of her legal career, she realized how satisfying and fulfilling creating art was for her.  It was a difficult decision to leave her legal career, but that struggle to redirect her career path and redefine her identity now informs her artistic work.

Katie Maish

Katie Maish will be showing at the Morton Museum from April 16th – June 25th.

About the Artist

In Katie's art practice, she maps personal experience onto broader cultural production found in museum and library collections. She has served as a museum and arts administrator for the C.H. Nash Museum and Memphis Social. She currently teaches Museum Studies part time at the University of Memphis and enjoys supporting local artists through her website, Visual Memphis. Katie holds a BS in Biology from Rhodes College as well as an MFA in Photography and a Museum Studies Graduate Certificate from the University of Memphis.
