Community Art Galleries of Collierville

Exhibitions highlighting our community artists.

We are surrounded by the arts—art of our environment. We are so accustomed to it that we are hardly aware until we see the first spring flower, the first hummingbird, a beautiful sunrise or sunset, winter’s first snowfall, or the magic of a rainbow. Nature is constantly changing her palate offering the complete spectrum of color, design and structure. It’s all around us.

Artists create visual art primarily for aesthetic purposes, or to satisfy themselves, or to make a statement; we judge that work for its beauty and meaningfulness, and enjoy this work specifically as painting, sculpture, drawing, watercolor, graphics, and architecture.

The Collierville Arts Council is a part of that experience and works to encourage, exhibit and promote this fine arts’ creativity. In addition, Collierville Community Art Galleries were created for the public to showcase artwork for the encouragement and development of artistic expression, and to nurture greater appreciation for art in our community. Each year, the Morton Museum and the Collierville Arts Council collaborate to develop this yearlong rotation of exhibitions in our three galleries.

Take advantage of these exhibitions by visiting our free public galleries. They are located at the Collierville Town Hall, 500 Poplar View Parkway with hours Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre, 440 W. Powell Road with hours Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm and during performances; and at the Morton Museum, 196 N. Main Street with hours Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-4:00pm.

*Please note that during these trying times we wont be having any exhibits at The Harrell Theatre at this time. Please check with the Morton Museum on other exhibits.

All galleries are wheelchair accessible.

The Morton Museum of Collierville History and the Collierville Arts Council invite artists to submit original artwork for display in one of the three Community Art Galleries.
